3 Ways to Return to Happiness —

This is a lot simpler than we make it.

We Google, “how to be happy” and it tells us things we’re not satisfied with. “Go for a walk, call a good friend, reach out to someone in need, listen to calming music.” And we dismiss it, “that’s not going to make me happy.”

The truth is, in that state of mind, you could have the perfect answer come up and you will dismiss it.

Why? You’re already choosing not to be happy. And nothing is going to MAKE you anything you have already decided against. No one, and no thing, can make you think, feel, or do anything.

If you’re in a good or bad place, there is only one reason-choice.

Being in a good or bad place requires thoughts, feelings and actions that align with it.

It’s your choice to support and feed that or discontinue doing so. When you do this for a long period of time, it becomes easier because you’ve got momentum, patterns and habits that also support those choices. This is a great thing if it matches what you want, and can be utter hell when it is not.

To change it takes effort at first, sometimes stubborn force to break these rhythms. But in time, you will build the new path.

It starts with these three elements.

- Focus : What you seek you will find. Those who say the world is hard, ugly & cruel and those who say the world is magical, beautiful and full of love will create a mindset that consistently delivers evidence to prove and create that experience.

- Body : We carry our personality, emotions and who we are in the way we show up and carry ourselves. What is your body saying about how you feel about yourself? Life? How does the person you want to be walk in their body?

- Language : The way you give meaning to everything, determines your experience. The words you use, create a story of your life-no matter how far off neutral reality it is. Your keywords, phrases and repeated recollections of things keep you planted in it. What is on loop for you? What do you say all the time? What image do these words paint for yourself?

To experience what we want, our focus, body and language need to sing the harmony of that together consistently.
