The Way to Magic — Kara Payton
One thing I cannot teach you, my experience taught me. In the worst of all my days, there is an inner knowing that everything is always working out for me. Every detour, every loss or failure has a purpose. In the darkest places, I never doubt that I’m still being guided.
I always trust that the pain I’m experiencing is in the realization & acceptance that I’ve got to walk myself back to me and that I’ve gotten off track somehow.
In walking back, we have another path home to ourselves, so I’ve always taken heart that I am never lost, just off the most direct path.
I’ve seen so much of my wilderness by “losing my way.” It has only made me better at the journey. The wilderness is only wilderness until explored.
These last few weeks I have had so many moments where that inner knowing has been tested. My faith hinged on many external variables. God has bigger plans for me than that.
In the midst of the suffering, I wanted to be anywhere else as most of us do but NEVER in life do we get to be so close to the Universe as we do when we have reached the end of ourselves. Lean IN to the turns you normally lean away from. It has never let me fall.
My life has been turned completely upside down and inside out, but I wouldn’t trade the magic to return to the known landscape. The entire Universe seems to be conspiring behind me to realize my biggest dreams.
Working with a publisher, interviewing for magazines (what?!), planning live events, and coming outside my comfort zone to start filming with THE best in the US, I am the luckiest girl in the world.
Thank you to everyone that has come alongside me. Whether you’re making me laugh with your “before you’re famous” comments, helping me reset my nervous system in a chiropractic office, taking spontaneous weekend trips or Zooming me every week to keep my butt on track, I feel like the celebration and support is literally coming from everywhere.
All this to say, LET.GO. Your magic is on the other side of everything you’re holding onto. You are in the WAY of the Universe giving you everything you’ve ever dreamed up. To receive it, you have to let go of what you have. TRUST IT.
